Laboratory reports may be associated directly with a finished product batch, or with the Raw Material Batch used to produce that finished product.
A composite batch has the format RM-FG (e.g., RM1-FG1, RM1-FG2). These batches identify both the Raw Material Batch and the Finished Good Batch.
A direct batch such as OFG1 contains no Raw Material Batch component. Reports for such a batch are retrieved directly using OFG1.
When a composite batch is entered, the system first retrieves reports specifically associated with the complete batch and then retrieves reports associated with its Raw Material Batch.
