THE FARMILI STANDARD

Purity Should Never Be Guesswork.

Most staples are bought on habit, labels, or old trust.
We believe what enters your kitchen should be clear, tested, and honestly sourced.

Built For Our Family First

Before every product reaches your kitchen, it goes through ours.

We have one rule: if we would not give it to our children, we would not sell it to you. That single rule is what Farmili stands on.

Single-Origin

Know where it came from, how it was made, and what's inside.

Our mustard seeds come from farms in Haryana where our family has farmed for four generations. We know the field. We know the season.

Batch-Tested Quality

Every lot is checked for key quality parameters.

Every batch goes to an independent, NABL-accredited lab before it reaches you. Safety and purity are not assumed — they are documented.

From the Farm The Stories Behind What We Grow

The Bottle That Said “For External Use Only” "
We grew up cooking with it. Then we discovered the label.
In 2017, Lalit and Mili found Indian mustard oil on a grocery shelf abroad labelled “For external use only.” That label sent them back to the family farm in Haryana and into years of research alongside agricultural scientists and food researchers. What followed was the development of Farmili mustard oils — grown from carefully selected seed varieties, naturally lower in erucic acid, and crafted across three distinct pungency levels: non-pungent, mild, and traditionally pungent. Today, every batch is grown on the family farm, lab-tested through NABL-certified laboratories, and traceable from farm to bottle.

The Grain We Couldn’t Stop Ordering
So We Learned to Grow It Ourselves
In 2019, Lalit was introduced to bulgur while trying to rethink everyday eating habits. An imported packet was ordered, recipes were learned, and the family quickly understood why this grain had been loved across Mediterranean kitchens for generations. But one question kept returning: why was something this wholesome, versatile, and enjoyable available in India only as an import? What followed were years of experimenting with durum wheat, learning the traditional craft behind bulgur-making, and adapting the grain for Indian kitchens and everyday meals. Today, Farmili brings you bulgur grown and crafted in India — naturally high in fiber, thoughtfully made, and designed to fit effortlessly into the way Indian families already cook and eat.

The Fragrance That Used to Fill the Whole House
For generations, that aroma was normal in Indian kitchens. Today, it is surprisingly rare.
Lalit grew up on a family farm in Haryana where one small patch of Basmati was always kept aside for home. It was never sold — only cooked for the family’s own kitchen. In 2020, after decades away from farm life, Lalit cooked that rice again. The fragrance instantly brought back a memory he had not realised he was carrying for years. Mili tasted it and said, “This is not what we have been buying.” That moment became the beginning of Farmili rice — naturally aged for three years, never blended, and chosen for the aroma, texture, and flavour we believe real Basmati should still have.

What People Are Saying

Trust, Before We Even Existed Online

Before Farmili had a website or social presence, families found us through word of mouth. One recommendation led to another and trust turned into repeat orders. These are their words.

★★★★★

My search for dependable everyday essentials ended here.

In a world of endless choices and loud claims, there is something deeply reassuring about finding products that feel genuinely authentic. Good food is not only about taste or packaging; it is also about integrity. Over the past few years, I have regularly used Farmili Organics' yellow mustard oil, black mustard oil, bulgur wheat, white peas, pulses, rice, and a few ready-to-eat products. What has stood out for me is not just their quality but also the thought process that goes into every product before it reaches the consumer. Whether it is the oil content and purity of their gravity-filtered mustard oil, or the availability of several grades of bulgur wheat — each suited to a specific purpose, the attention to detail is truly remarkable.

Farmili is deeply committed to quality, and each product is carefully tested in laboratories to ensure it meets high standards. I have recommended several of their products to family and friends, and everyone loved the quality of all the products (even the very critical tough nuts).

Their honesty and uprightness are truly inspiring. Farmili presents staples as they should be — simple, pure, and trustworthy. Their mustard oil, for example, reflects the brand's emphasis on minimally processed, wholesome, farm-linked food. With Farmili, my search for dependable everyday essentials truly ended here, as each of their product embodies care, authenticity, and quality. All the best!

Tried it once. Never went back to any other mustard oil.

If something has to happen, God creates the occasion… and that's exactly how I came across Mr. Lalit.

One day, I happened to sit with him, and he spoke about his produce, especially the research and effort he's putting into creating low erucic acid mustard oil which is extremely rare to find in the market. The depth of his commitment really stood out and made me curious to try it myself.

I tried the oil once, and it was so impressive that I've never gone back to any other mustard oil since.

I've recommended Farmili mustard oil to many of my friends, and they've all come back thanking me for it.

What I really love is that the oil has no unpleasant residue or strong smell. You can use it directly in cooking without pre-heating, and your vegetables don't carry that typical overpowering mustard oil aroma.

They offer both black and yellow mustard oil, and I absolutely love both.

I genuinely wish Farmili great success and hope this brand reaches many more people in the future.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Clear answers before you bring us home.
Everything you may want to know about Farmili, our farms, our sourcing standards, and the care behind what reaches your kitchen.
What makes Farmili different from regular grocery brands?
+

Farmili is built around a simple belief — food should feel trustworthy again.

Unlike mass-market grocery brands that often source from multiple anonymous suppliers, we focus on growing and developing our staples directly on our own family farms in Haryana. From cultivation and harvesting to processing and final quality checks, we stay closely involved at every stage.

We also work in smaller carefully managed batches instead of large-scale factory-style production. This helps us maintain freshness, consistency, and the integrity of the product.

We create food the way we would choose for our own family kitchen — with care, responsibility, and higher standards at every step.

Are Farmili products grown on your own farms?
+

Yes. At present, our products are grown and developed entirely on our own family farms in Haryana.

We are not sourcing from outside vendors, aggregators, or anonymous supply chains. This allows us to stay closely involved in how crops are cultivated, harvested, processed, and handled from the very beginning.

By maintaining control at the source, we are able to focus more carefully on freshness, consistency, and the standards we want Farmili to represent.

How is your mustard oil different?
+

Farmili Mustard Oil is created with a balance of tradition, purity, and modern quality standards.

Unlike conventional mustard oils that are often limited to a single taste profile, Farmili offers five distinct mustard oil variants developed from carefully selected mustard seed varieties grown on our own farms. Each variant is designed around different levels of pungency, aroma, flavour balance, and cooking preferences.

Our range includes traditional black mustard oils known for their bold flavour and sharper pungency, balanced everyday variants with milder aroma profiles, as well as low erucic mustard oils made from specially selected mustard varieties containing up to 5% erucic acid, and ultra low erucic mustard oils containing 0–2% erucic acid, aligned with globally accepted edible oil standards followed across Europe and the USA, respectively.

From strong traditional tadka flavours to smoother all-purpose cooking oils, every Farmili mustard oil is processed with a focus on freshness, traceability, controlled processing, and preserving the natural character of the seed.

Why does your Basmati rice smell more aromatic?
+

The aroma of good Basmati rice begins long before cooking.

At Farmili, we grow and develop our Basmati rice directly on our own farms and naturally age it for three years to improve fragrance, texture, grain elongation, and overall cooking quality. Unlike conventional market rice that is often blended from multiple varieties and sources, Farmili offers single origin Basmati rice varieties with their own distinct character, aroma profile, and cooking behaviour.

Our range includes four carefully selected Basmati varieties — 1401, CSR 30, 1121, and 1509 — each suited to different cooking styles and preferences. 1401 is known for its comforting nutty flavour, CSR 30 for its rich traditional aroma, 1121 for its exceptional grain elongation, and 1509 for its forgiving texture that cooks beautifully without turning mushy easily.

Each batch is carefully cleaned, graded, and handled to preserve purity and consistency. The result is rice that cooks lighter, smells richer, and feels more satisfying on the plate.

What is bulgur wheat, and how do I use it?
+

Bulgur is a wholesome cracked wheat grain traditionally made from durum wheat — a nutrient-rich wheat variety known for its hearty texture and slow-release carbohydrates.

Because bulgur is naturally high in fibre and made from whole grain wheat, it helps provide sustained energy, keeps you fuller for longer, and fits well into balanced everyday eating. Many people enjoy it as a lighter alternative to refined grains in modern wellness-focused diets.

It is also quick to cook and extremely versatile. You can use it in salads, bowls, pulao, upma, khichdi-style meals, stuffed vegetables, or simple everyday recipes.

Visit our recipes section for easy ways to bring bulgur into your kitchen.

Do your products contain preservatives or artificial additives?
+

No. Our products do not contain preservatives or artificial additives.

For long-term storage of grains and staples, we use oxygen-controlled storage and handling practices that help create conditions less conducive to insect growth and infestation — without relying on added preservatives or artificial chemicals.

Our focus is on maintaining freshness, quality, and product integrity while keeping food as close to its natural form as possible.

How do you ensure quality and safety?
+

We combine traditional farming values with modern quality practices.

From cultivation and harvesting to processing and packaging, we stay closely involved at every stage to maintain consistency, cleanliness, freshness, and product integrity. Our goal is to create food we would confidently serve in our own homes.

Are Farmili products suitable for everyday family cooking?
+

Yes. Farmili products are designed for real everyday kitchens — from daily meals to health-conscious cooking.

Whether it is your morning breakfast, lunch preparation, or family dinner, our goal is to create staples families can use regularly with confidence, comfort, and peace of mind.
