Farmili Founder Story

It started with a label.

In a grocery store in the United States, Mili picked up a bottle of mustard oil — something she had seen in Indian kitchens all her life — and read the words: For external use only.

She stood there. Confused. Then curious.

Because Mili was never someone who ignored uncomfortable questions.

Raised in Rajasthan and educated in Pilani, she grew up with a deep respect for discipline, precision, and independent thinking.

Long before Farmili existed, she was already drawn toward understanding how things truly work — not how they are marketed, packaged, or assumed to be.

Her career began at CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research), Government of India, where she worked in food process measurement and industrial research.

It was there that she learned to trust data over claims, measurement over assumptions, and evidence over appearances.

Over the next two decades, she moved into global leadership roles, eventually leading large international technical and engineering teams at a Fortune 500 company.

She had seen systems at scale — the supply chains, the boardrooms, and the decisions behind every label.

She understood how the system worked, but more importantly, she understood that trust is never built through marketing alone.

It is earned through consistency, transparency, and the responsibility of delivering exactly what a label promises.

Years after that moment in the grocery store, the question returned to her kitchen in India.

Premium mustard oil. Organic. Kachi ghani. Every reassuring word carefully printed on the label.

So she tested it.

And once she saw the numbers, she could not unsee them.

That moment became the beginning of Farmili.

Today, Mili leads Farmili’s quality systems, lab-testing framework, and product verification processes.

Every batch is independently tested through NABL-accredited laboratories before reaching customers — not because regulations demand it, but because trust should be earned properly.

She is also a Global Ambassador with the Society of Women Engineers, where she supports initiatives that encourage more women to pursue engineering, lead with confidence, and create meaningful impact through science and technology.

For her, Farmili is not just a food brand.

It is an attempt to bring honesty back to everyday food.

To ask harder questions.

To measure what matters.

And to make food she can confidently serve to her own family first.

Farmili exists because trust in food should never depend on hope alone.

Food should never require blind trust.
It should earn it.
